Osteria Pastai

A true gem in San Pedro Sula — Italian done right! During a recent visit to San Pedro Sula for a conference, our group was highly recommended to try Osteria Pastai, and we’re so glad we did. This Italian restaurant exceeded all expectations, from the service to the food — and that’s saying something, especially considering we were a very large group! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. Our waiter handled the entire table with professionalism and grace, always attentive without being intrusive. He managed our large party with patience and precision — keeping every order straight, refilling drinks without being asked, and even accommodating several special requests. That kind of personalized service is rare, especially when you’re dining with a big group, but Osteria Pastai delivered flawlessly. Now, the food — wow. Every dish came out exactly as described, beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. You can tell they take pride in using fresh ingredients and making their pasta in-house. I personally ordered the Chicken Piccata with a side of Bordelaise pasta, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender, perfectly seared, and topped with a bright lemon-caper sauce that balanced beautifully with the richness of the pasta. Other favorites around the table included the Ravioli al Funghi, stuffed with a creamy mushroom filling and finished in a light truffle cream sauce that had everyone asking for bites. The Spaghetti alla Carbonara was another hit — classic, simple, but executed to perfection with real pancetta and a silky sauce. Osteria Pastai brings a piece of Italy to Honduras in the most authentic way. Whether you’re a small party or a large group like ours, this restaurant delivers on all fronts: quality, service, and atmosphere. It’s elegant without being pretentious, and you leave not only full — but impressed. If you’re in San Pedro Sula and craving excellent Italian cuisine, Osteria Pastai should be at the top of your list.

The salad was fresh and really good. My dish was a pulled beef gniochi that I think was overpowered by to much beef. I think it's pricy but over all it was good.

Best Italian food on SPS. Service was great.
