Restaurante Pat's

Highly recommend Pat’s original location. (Haven’t tried the new one.) Pat’s is the only place in SPS we’ve found so far that actually has good steak. The filet mignon was delicious and tender. The grilled potatoes and the ceviche were delicious! However, I do not recommend the Bisque de Langostino OR the French onion soup. We couldn’t finish either of them. If you want those to taste like bisque and soup in the US, you may not like these. They are both completely different. The cheesecake is very good. The service was excellent, as well as the music and decor. Very cozy and romantic.

Honestly, this is a restaurant that has been around for a while now. Popular among the locals and used often for business meals and such. Meat is somewhat regular. They use USDA meat for some cuts but it doesn’t feel as premium as they make it sound. Nonetheless, I’d give the food a normal rating. NOW, customer service is awful. Waiters are not friendly, staff doesn’t greet you or make you feel welcome. If you ask them for something it feels like they are bothered by it. (This is my experience living in Honduras for 17 years, customer service is horrible) The funny thing about this is you aren’t paying a cheap price. A meal for a 4 member family will be around $300. To say the least it isn’t worth it. Hopefully they pay close attention to detail in the near future.

Regarding taste… the puyaso was outstanding a bit overcooked for my liking but seasoned great; My family was happy with their meal and choices. The sangria was great as well. I was really disappointed with the service though, I was served the steak with no silverware (was taken away with salad) I was expecting a new set a fork and steak knife which never arrived (the server disappeared) had to flag someone else to bring them. We need condiments for the kids meal server disappeared again had to flag yet another person and took forever. For a place that is clearly fine dinning the service is subpar. I would unfortunately not recommend.

I used to love dinner here, but this last time it was frustrating. I don’t have idea if it was because of the holiday but the service was not kindly anytime. A lot of mistakes in the order. Btw, always recommend Hongos & Carpaccio de Salmon.
